Day 104: Gate

These are two gates that are leaning against my neighbor's garage. It's a different pattern.

"If you only knock long enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody." -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Day 103: Dinner Plates

"Fame is a fickle food-- Upon a shifting plate" -Emily Dickinson

Day 102: Wildflowers

These wildflowers appeared in my neighbor's yard. Couldn't resist that bright color for the picture today.

"Men do change, and change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn, and it comes like the stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass." -John Steinbeck

Day 101: Tulip Buds

A few weeks ago I took a photo of the tulip shoots springing from the ground. Now the colorful buds are there and soon they will open. (Guess what my picture for the day will be then.)

"Thought is the blossom; language the bud; action the fruit behind it." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Day 100: Parking Garage

Day 100! I can't believe I have made it this far and have yet to miss a day. Only 265 photographs left. The repetition and structure of the stairs of the parking garage stuck out to me.

"Never look backwards or you'll fall down the stairs." -Rudyard Kipling

Day 99: Blinds

I was trying to decide what to take a picture of for the day and noticed the interesting texture and detail of the blind pull.

"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon-instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today." -Dale Carnegie

Day 98: NighttimeCars

I attempted the long shutter to catch the motion of the car. It's an interesting technique and may try it again. Not one of my favorite shots I've taken.

"It's like driving a car at night. You never see further than your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way." -E. L. Doctorow
